The limestone-rich soils of Prince Edward County produce wines with an unmistakable sense of place. The natural minerality of the soil is highlighted in the wines along with other flavours developed from the nutrients and minerals that the grapes absorb as they grow. With such a wide variety of wines being produced across the County, why not try something you’ve never had before? It might just be a new favourite.
Sandbanks Provincial Park has the world’s largest baymouth barrier dune formation, three expansive sandy beaches that some say are among the best in Canada; Outlet Beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters and gentle drop off. The location jutting out into Lake Ontario means that this park is a bird migration hotspot in spring and fall. Walking trails allow visitors to experience the dune and wetland habitats of the park.
Beachcomb on the long pebble beach for driftwood and fossils, swim off the big flat limestone ledges, it’s a quiet beautiful place for a picnic – but remember to leave only footprints behind! An excellent place to watch a sunset. During spring and fall migration, it is one of the finest birding areas in Canada.

PRZ Paintball is located in Picton, ON and is formerly known as Prince Edwards Heights when the site was used as a Canadian Forces base. The site was used as a military base until 1969 when the Ontario Ministry of Health opened the facility as a hospital for individuals with disabilities. The hospital was closed down in 1999 but the remains of the buildings and court yards have become the fastest growing paintball field in Ontario.
